In [Algebraic connectivity of lollipop graphs, Linear Algebra Appl.434 (2011) 2204\u20132210], Guo et al. proved that a( C<jats:sub>n,g-1<\/jats:sub>) &lt; a( C<jats:sub>n,g<\/jats:sub>) for g \u2265 4, where a( C<jats:sub>n,g<\/jats:sub>) is the algebraic connectivity of C<jats:sub>n,g<\/jats:sub>.
