A"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2002,8,20]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>The quark-level linear \u03c3 model (L\u03c3M) is revisited, in particular concerning the identification of the f<jats:sub>0<\/jats:sub>(400\u20131200) (or \u03c3(600)) scalar meson as the chiral partner of the pion. We demonstrate the predictive power of the L\u03c3M through the \u03c0\u03c0 and \u03c0Ns-wave scattering lengths, as well as several electromagnetic, weak, and strong decays of pseudoscalar and vector mesons.
