Algebra Comput."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2005,4]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Given a complete rewriting system R on X and a subset X<jats:sub>0<\/jats:sub>of X<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup>satisfying certain conditions, we present a complete rewriting system for the submonoid of M(X;R) generated by X<jats:sub>0<\/jats:sub>. The obtained result will be applied to the group of units of a monoid satisfying H<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>= D<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>.
