Math."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2014,6]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>We consider the Cauchy problem for the nonlinear self-focusing Schr\u00f6dinger equation in \u211d<jats:sup>N<\/jats:sup>with an inhomogeneous smooth damping coefficient and we prove, for suitable initial data, and in the spirit of the seminal work of R. Glassey, a blowup result for the corresponding local solutions.
