The EBS also holds great potential for broadening knowledge on taphonomic pathways involved in the exceptional preservation of fossils in Cambrian Konservat-Lagerstätten. EBS fossils display a range of taphonomic modes for a variety of soft tissues, especially phosphatization and pyritization, in some cases recording a level of anatomical detail that is absent from most Cambrian Konservat-Lagerstätten.
[[2015,11,11
["The Emu Bay Shale Konservat-Lagerstätte: a view of Cambrian life from East Gondwana
Palaeoscience Research Centre, School of Environmental and Rural Science, University of New England, Armidale, NSW 2351, Australia
School of Biological Sciences & Environment Institute, University of Adelaide, Adelaide, SA 5005, Australia
School of Natural and Built Environments, University of South Australia, Mawson Lakes, SA 5095, Australia
School of Biological Sciences & Environment Institute, University of Adelaide, Adelaide, SA 5005, Australia
School of Biological Sciences & Environment Institute, University of Adelaide, Adelaide, SA 5005, Australia
[[2015,11,10
Comparative taphonomy of two nonmineralized arthropods: Naraoia (Nektaspida; early Cambrian, Chengjiang Biota, China) and Limulus (Xiphosurida; Holocene, Atlantic Ocean)
Babcock L.E., Chang W. 1997.
