Earlier maps of these masses have been modified and previously unrecognized bodies of deformed \u2018Younger Basic\u2019 rocks have been identified near Portsoy. It has been established that sheared and mylonitized \u2018Younger Basic\u2019 rocks occur widely and that the contact relations and internal structure of the igneous masses have been greatly disrupted by post-magmatic deformation.
