It does not seem to matter what the product is or what the industry is. The cry of frustration is almost always the same: \"Why is software always late?\" In this article, the author discusses the software development cycle and the LOC\/day productivity measure in an attempt to explore some of the reasons for failure and some of the factors contributing to success.
