The definition of \"Design Pattern\" should include the highest degree of generalization and ensure that the solution offered covers the invariable of\n            <jats:italic>all<\/jats:italic>\n            solutions to this kind of problems. The main conclusion to be drawn from this paper is that \"Factory Method\" ((GoF (107)) should not be considered a pattern since the solution it provides is too narrow.
