The blood-brain barrier partitions the circulating blood from the brain tissue proper. It regulates the passage of vital substances and nutrients into brain tissues, and the passage of carbon dioxide and metabolic waste products out of brain tissues. The selective passage prohibits harmful toxins from infiltrating the brain, and also excludes many drugs and therapeutic agents from reaching brain tissues.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/1031483.1031484","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2007,1,17]],"date-time":"2007-01-17T18:32:02Z","timestamp":1169058722000},"page":"1-3","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Health aspects of wireless communication"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"8","author":[{"given":"James C.","family":"Lin","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Illinois, Chicago, IL"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2004,7]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_1_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/509506.509510"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_2_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1023\/A:1019150510840"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_3_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0302-4598(93)80088-C"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_4_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1002\/jemt.1070270608"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_5_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1289\/ehp.6039"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_6_1","unstructured":"COST 281 http:\/\/www.cost281.org  COST 281 http:\/\/www.cost281.org"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_7_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/511226.511235"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_8_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/s004010050734"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_9_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1002\/1521-186X(200007)21:5<364::AID-BEM5>3.0.CO;2-Q"}],"container-title":["ACM SIGMOBILE Mobile Computing and Communications Review"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/10.1145\/1031483.1031484","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"text-mining"},{"URL":"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/pdf\/10.1145\/1031483.1031484","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,18]],"date-time":"2025-06-18T17:23:46Z","timestamp":1750267426000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/doi\/10.1145\/1031483.1031484"}},"subtitle":["extravasation of endogenous serum albumin in rat brains from repeated exposure to cell-phone microwave radiation"],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2004,7]]},"references-count":9,"journal-issue":{"issue":"3","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2004,7]]}},"alternative-id":["10.1145\/1031483.1031484"],"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/1031483.1031484","relation":{},"ISSN":["1559-1662","1931-1222"],"issn-type":[{"type":"print","value":"1559-1662"},{"type":"electronic","value":"1931-1222"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2004,7]]},"assertion":[{"value":"2004-07-01","order":2,"name":"published","label":"Published","group":{"name":"publication_history","label":"Publication History"}}]}}
