Over the past fifteen years we have developed a large array of resources, including a broad-coverage English grammar, dictionaries, a program for parsing and transformational analysis, and various utilities for managing grammar, dictionary, and text files. The grammar and parsing program have been incorporated into two main application systems, one for the information formatting of natural language medical texts, the other for natural language data base retrieval.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/1056663.1056714","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2007,1,17]],"date-time":"2007-01-17T18:32:02Z","timestamp":1169058722000},"page":"75-76","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Research in computational linguistics"],"prefix":"10.1145","author":[{"family":"Sager","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Linguistic String Project, New York, New York"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"family":"Grishman","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Linguistic String Project, New York, New York"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[1982,1]]},"reference":[{"volume-title":"Addison-Wesley","year":"1981","author":"Sager N.","key":"e_1_2_1_1_1"},{"volume-title":"Academic Press","year":"1978","author":"Sager N.","key":"e_1_2_1_2_1"},{"volume-title":"Butterworths","year":"1981","author":"Hirschman L","key":"e_1_2_1_3_1"},{"volume-title":"Proceedings of the Fourth Annual Symposium on Computer Applications in Medical Care 2 (J.T.
