The advantages of this approach are two-fold. Firstly, partial results can be exchanged among components in a timely manner to be used to constrain the search space of the components. Secondly, the control structure will permit the nature and context of errors in ill-formed input to be broadcast to other components to find ways to circumvent the error but still comprehend the input.
