Webster\u2019s defines it as \u201cfreedom from fear, anxiety, danger, and doubt.\u201d Within Maslow\u2019s famous hierarchy of needs, meanwhile, we can find it just above our most basic physiological needs, such as food, water, and shelter. So it seems, no matter how you slice it, security comes down to some fundamental sense of well-being or safety.
