Coping with such a complexity necessitates to investigate a new paradigm namely\n            <jats:italic>Autonomic Computing.<\/jats:italic>\n            Although academic and industry efforts are beginning to proliferate in this research area, there are still a lots of open issues that remain to be solved. This paper proposes a categorization of complexity in I\/T systems and presents an overview of autonomic computing research area.
