The essence of the thread synchronization and manipulation mechanisms in these models can be factored into a small set of supporting thread primitives and mechanisms. These thread mechanisms are stackable, supporting multiple layered environments each with its own complex thread semantics.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/1088446.1088447","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2005,11,7]],"date-time":"2005-11-07T19:28:32Z","timestamp":1131391712000},"page":"4-17","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Stackable thread mechanisms"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"39","author":[{"given":"Keith","family":"Loepere","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2005,10]]},"reference":[{"volume-title":"Proc.
