The intention of this Center founded as cooperative institution, in which mathematicians, physicists, chemists, computer scientists, and also biologists participate, is, first, to stimulate and enforce the interdisciplinary research activities of theorists in these fields; second, to serve better national and international contacts; and third, to become a scientific school for students and young scientists interested in actual research fields at the border lines between the above sciences.
