News"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1978,6]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>This paper presents mechanisms to be realized on a basic, capability - based architecture, to support the execution of PL\/1, COBOL and FORTRAN languages, while ensuring error confinement and facilitating error detection and categorization. The concept of domain is used in order to support various linking strategies. The addressing space of a task is structured according to three characteristics of its components: scope, lifetime and access rights.
