He holds a M.Sc. in Computer Engineering (1990) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science (1993) from Aalborg University, Denmark. He has previously held positions at Aalborg University and University of Aarhus (both in Denmark). He also spent time visiting Texas A&amp;M University (1991--92) and University of California, Irvine (1996). He has held various academic management positions from 1998--2006 including Department Head and Dean.
