The failure to recognize these features and their varying impacts leads to two critical problems; the risk of removing positive ethical elements as well as negative ones when mitigating the ethical problem, and missing some viable alternative actions. A modified version of line drawing is presented as a way to address these two problems when it is used as an adjunct to already established decision techniques.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/1327325.1327329","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2007,12,21]],"date-time":"2007-12-21T14:52:36Z","timestamp":1198248756000},"page":"53-63","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Enhancing ethical decision support methods"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"37","author":[{"given":"D.","family":"Gotterbarn","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2007,11]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_1_1","unstructured":"Bynum T. and Rogerson S.
