Robert Biddle (Carleton University) was program chair and the theme we had chosen for the event was \"\n            <jats:italic>Wikis at Work in the World: Open, Organic and Participatory Media for the 21st Century<\/jats:italic>\n            \". We saw this as an invitation for all attendants to think about the various ways in which wiki technologies and paradigms are and will keep changing the world.
