This month, however, I thought I'd talk about the people who have contributed to the state of the software engineering art by developing and refining the approaches and methodologies that we use every day. Sometimes we take the simple things for granted. For example, the notion of software modules seems second nature to most of us. That would not have been true had it not been for David Parnas.
