It's assumed that the software developers preferred certain dimensions of the cognitive style, and then four specific sub-tests are defined after the modification according to Riding's testing mode named Cognitive Style Analysis System. Testees were divided into Group A (software developers) and Group B (common testees). The system recorded the score and reaction time of the testees for each test during the survey. The studies show that, compared to the common testees, software developers' verbal\/imagery dimension of the cognitive style belongs to the significant imagery preference.
