GENI enables experimenters to try out bold new network architectures and designs for networked systems, and to deploy and evaluate these systems on a diverse set of resources over a large footprint.<\/jats:p>\n
This tutorial is a starting point for running experiments on GENI. It provides an overview of GENI and covers the process of creating a network and running a simple experiment using two tools: the Flack GUI and the INSTOOLS instrumentation service.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/2096149.2096161","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2012,1,17]],"date-time":"2012-01-17T17:21:44Z","timestamp":1326820904000},"page":"72-77","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":23,"title":["Getting started with GENI"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"42","author":[{"given":"Jonathon","family":"Duerig","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, USA"}]},{"given":"Robert","family":"Ricci","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, USA"}]},{"given":"Leigh","family":"Stoller","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, USA"}]},{"given":"Matt","family":"Strum","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, USA"}]},{"given":"Gary","family":"Wong","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, USA"}]},{"given":"Charles","family":"Carpenter","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA"}]},{"given":"Zongming","family":"Fei","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA"}]},{"given":"James","family":"Griffioen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA"}]},{"given":"Hussamuddin","family":"Nasir","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA"}]},{"given":"Jeremy","family":"Reed","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA"}]},{"given":"Xiongqi","family":"Wu","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2012,1,16]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_1_1","volume-title":"Internet Engineering Task Force","author":"Case J.","year":"2002","unstructured":"J.
