This closed-world assumption and the resulting lack of abstraction have the pleasant effect of allowing the data to outlive the application. On the other hand, this makes it hard to evolve the underlying model independently from the queries over the model.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/2330087.2338507","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,8,31]],"date-time":"2020-08-31T13:23:44Z","timestamp":1598880224000},"page":"40-49","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["All Your Database Are Belong to Us"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"10","author":[{"given":"Erik","family":"Meijer","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Microsoft"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2012,7,23]]},"reference":[{"volume-title":"ECOOP (European Conference on Object-orientedProgramming) Tutorial; http:\/\/lucacardelli.name\/Talks\/1997-06%20A%20Theory%20of%20Object%20(ECOOP%20Tutorial).pdf.","year":"1997","author":"Abadi M.","key":"e_1_2_1_1_1"},{"unstructured":"DeWitt D.
