This position paper is based on discussions of the authors at the Dagstuhl seminar on Mobility Data Mining and Privacy. It seeks to highlight this shift by providing a tutorial on location data flows and associated privacy risks in this mobile app ecosystem. Moreover, it reflects on the implications of this shift to the mobile privacy research community.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/2505395.2505398","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2013,7,24]],"date-time":"2013-07-24T13:26:35Z","timestamp":1374672395000},"page":"7-18","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":18,"title":["Report from Dagstuhl"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"17","author":[{"given":"Gennady","family":"Andrienko","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Fraunhofer IAIS, St. Augustin, Germany"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Aris","family":"Gkoulalas-Divanis","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"IBM Research, Dublin, Ireland"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Marco","family":"Gruteser","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Rutgers University, New Brunswick, U.S.A"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Christine","family":"Kopp","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Fraunhofer IAIS, St. Augustin, Germany"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Thomas","family":"Liebig","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"TU Dortmund University, Dortmund, Germany"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Klaus","family":"Rechert","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Freiburg, Freiburg i.
