With such a background and strong demands from the industry, the international workshop on Indoor Spatial Awareness (ISA) has been established as a regular scientific event since 2009. The first workshop was held in conjunction with the conference of MDM (Mobile Data Management) in Taiwan and has joined the ACM SIGSpatial workshop from the second edition in 2010.
