The game is deployed to 12 users, formed as three teams (four players per team), in order to study team-based cooperation and competition that they can develop over time and explore new game design concepts. By analyzing both subjective and objective data collected through online logs, questionnaires, and post-game interviews, we find a number of implications and insights that could be used to guide design of similar types of mobile casual games in the future. In addition, how various gaming elements (e.g., ideal number for team-based game play, user interfaces) can be utilized to design better mobile casual games is also discussed.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/2582186.2633437","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2015,1,5]],"date-time":"2015-01-05T13:27:09Z","timestamp":1420464429000},"page":"1-16","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Less Talk Is More Play"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"11","author":[{"given":"Chrysanthi C.","family":"Ntina","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Houston, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Xiaohan","family":"Ma","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Houston, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Zhigang","family":"Deng","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Houston, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2015,1,28]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_1_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/11551201_21"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_2_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/1124772.1124835"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_3_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/1822348.1822355"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_4_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.5555\/1156068.1156186"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_5_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/1461999.1462008"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_6_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/1124772.1124834"},{"volume-title":"the Other Players Conference.","author":"Eladhari M.","key":"e_1_2_1_7_1","unstructured":"M.
