Hypertext 2014 took place in Santiago de Chile, a location that is quite far away from the US and particularly from Europe. Nevertheless, the conference was well-attended with about 85 participants. There were two interesting keynote talks, given by C\u00e9sar A. Hidalgo from MIT Media Lab and Ricardo Baeza-Yates from Yahoo! Research Labs. The Best Paper Awards went to a study on reader preferences and behavior on Wikipedia and an experimental study on scalable, generic and adaptive focused crawling. The conference was organized at PUC Chile in central Santiago.
