Eng. Notes"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2015,4,3]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Global software development (GSD) has now become a prominent software development paradigm. Software companies are increasingly adopting GSD approaches in order to produce high quality software. GSD's popularity has attracted the researchers to investigate this field, but most of the research work related to global software development cycle is scattered. Therefore, there is a need to integrate and compile all research work related to GSD life cycle to provide a consolidated understanding for software practitioners as well as researchers. In this paper, we report our findings through systematic literature review that aimed at identifying the challenges faced by the globally distributed teams during various phases of software development.
