Our method utilizes hierarchical scheduling to provide a resource based allocation scheme while using a fuzzy logic based feedback scheduler to react to environmental changes within the application. The primary goal is to provide a scheduling mechanism that can adapt to overload conditions but still present a level of service while enforcing the temporal isolation between independent applications. The scheduler then considers this level of service to make scheduling decisions based upon a task's service requirements, such as criticality or timeliness.
