We implemented a prototype system and conducted two experiments. The first experiment investigated the effect of vocal cue manipulation on the perception of dominance. The results showed that participants perceived higher dominance while listening to a voice with a high amplitude and low frequency. The second experiment investigated the effect of vocal cue manipulation on persuasiveness. The results indicated that a person with a low amplitude and low frequency voice had greater persuasiveness in conversations with biased dominance, while there was no statistically significant difference in persuasiveness in conversations with unbiased dominance.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/3274446","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2018,11,1]],"date-time":"2018-11-01T21:21:27Z","timestamp":1541107287000},"page":"1-18","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":35,"title":["Effect of Manipulated Amplitude and Frequency of Human Voice on Dominance and Persuasiveness in Audio Conferences"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"2","author":[{"given":"Tzu-Yang","family":"Wang","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Ikkaku","family":"Kawaguchi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Hideaki","family":"Kuzuoka","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Mai","family":"Otsuki","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2018,11]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_1_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.anbehav.2011.03.024"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_2_1","first-page":"324","article-title":"Rank Analysis of Incomplete Block Designs","volume":"39","author":"Bradley Ralph Allan","year":"1952","unstructured":"Ralph Allan Bradley and Milton E Terry. 1952.
