The motivation for energy harvesting varies according to the class of application: 1) In green energy applications, solar harvesting has seen widespread adoption to offset rising energy costs and to reduce CO2 emissions, 2) In infrastructure monitoring applications, low power sensors have made use of solar and thermal harvesting to avoid restrictive battery maintenance when deploying sensors at scale, and 3) in mobile applications, harvesting has been used to extend device battery lifetime and the charging burden imposed on the end user. In short, mobile computing systems focus on energy harvesting as a technique to relax or eliminate dependencies on batteries.
[[2019,5,3
["Energy Harvesting is Charging Up
[[2019,5,2
e_1_2_1_1_1
"AN969: Measuring Power Consumption of Blue Gecko Bluetooth® Smart Devices " https://www.silabs.com/products/wireless/ bluetooth/bluetooth-low-energy-modules/ bgm113-bluetooth-low-energy-module "AN969: Measuring Power Consumption of Blue Gecko Bluetooth® Smart Devices " https://www.silabs.com/products/wireless/ bluetooth/bluetooth-low-energy-modules/ bgm113-bluetooth-low-energy-module
e_1_2_1_2_1
"CR2032 : Coin type lithium batteries (CR series) | Industrial Devices & Solutions | Panasonic." https://industrial.panasonic.com/ww/products/ batteries/primary-batteries/lithium-batteries/cointype- lithium-batteries-cr-series/CR2032. "CR2032 : Coin type lithium batteries (CR series) | Industrial Devices & Solutions | Panasonic." https://industrial.panasonic.com/ww/products/ batteries/primary-batteries/lithium-batteries/cointype- lithium-batteries-cr-series/CR2032.
e_1_2_1_3_1
"EPC UHF Gen2 Air Interface Protocol - EPC/ RFID | GS1." https://www.gs1.org/standards/ epc-rfid/uhf-air-interface-protocol. "EPC UHF Gen2 Air Interface Protocol - EPC/ RFID | GS1." https://www.gs1.org/standards/ epc-rfid/uhf-air-interface-protocol.
"MicroSemi IGLOO Series FPGA." https:// www.microsemi.com/product-directory/ fpgas/1689-igloo. "MicroSemi IGLOO Series FPGA." https:// www.microsemi.com/product-directory/ fpgas/1689-igloo.
["GetMobile: Mobile Computing and Communications
[[2025,6,17
[[2019,5,2
[[2019,5,2
10.1145/3325867.3325877
["2375-0529","2375-0537
[[2019,5,2
