Although software development had often been performed by distributed teams even before the pandemic, the COVID-19 outbreak exacerbated the physical separation of teams, creating numerous challenges and issues for both organizations and developers. Therefore, in this new column \"Software Engineering After the COVID-19 Outbreak\", we aim at providing insights into the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the work of Software Engineering practitioners and researchers.
