Appl."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2024,1,31]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>\n            Recently, three visual cryptography schemes with\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            -error-correcting capability (VCSs-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC) were introduced for preventing the shadows carrying additional information from being corrupted by noise interference. However, the concerns on VCS-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC, such as the average amount of carrying information, decoding of information from shadows, and the demonstration way of a secret, should be considered and improved. In this article, two schemes, namely the (\n            <jats:italic>k, n<\/jats:italic>\n            ) probabilistic VCS-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC (PVCS-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC) and the (2,\n            <jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic>\n            ) deterministic VCS-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC (DVCS-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC), are proposed. The concept of probabilistic VCS is combined with the Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem code (BCH code) for designing the (\n            <jats:italic>k, n<\/jats:italic>\n            ) PVCS-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC. Furthermore, some constant-weight BCH codewords are adopted to build the (2,\n            <jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic>\n            )-DVCS-\n            <jats:italic>t<\/jats:italic>\n            EC.
