Pract."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2025,12,31]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>The use of Big Data in government has become a key driver in improving efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making. This study proposes an innovative approach to develop a Big Data strategy in the context of the public sector, especially in the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Using the Ward and Peppard methodology, this study conducted a comprehensive assessment through SWOT analysis, Big Data trend review, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions (FGDs). Identifying the unique challenges and opportunities facing ministries results in tailored strategies to meet those specific needs. The strategy includes governance, technology, infrastructure, and security considerations, with the goal of improving decision-making, improving service delivery, and fostering innovation in the tourism and creative economy sectors.
