Each estimation technique is expressed in a concise and unambiguous manner by using a standard format. To facilitate further analysis, data, key parameters, and estimates are either saved as global variables or can be retrieved by explicit-result functions. APLECON is viewed as an alternative to existing econometric programs which often take on the character of a \"black box\". Natural extensions of this work include applications in the area of computer-assisted instruction and development of a comprehensive package for econometric modeling.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1145\/586581.586585","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2007,1,17]],"date-time":"2007-01-17T18:32:02Z","timestamp":1169058722000},"page":"12-16","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1145\/crossmark-policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["Aplecon"],"prefix":"10.1145","volume":"11","author":[{"given":"Stephen D.","family":"Lewis","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada"}]}],"member":"320","published-online":{"date-parts":[[1980,9]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_1_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/800114.803699"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_2_1","unstructured":"Time-Series Processor (TSP) Department of Economics Princeton University (1967).
