The distribution function is obtained for energies greater than 3 <jats:italic>eV<\/jats:italic>. The BTE\nis solved self consistently with the Poisson equation for a one dimensional <jats:italic>npn<\/jats:italic> bipolar junction\ntransistor (BJT).
