In this review article, we present the \n                principle of SPR technique for sensing and various \n                designs of the fiber optic SPR probe reported for \n                the enhancement of the sensitivity of the sensor. \n                In addition, we present few examples of the \n                surface plasmon resonance\u2010 (SPR\u2010) based fiber optic \n                sensors.
