Novel reactance transformations, derived from this transmission line, are formulated to transform a low\u2010pass prototype filter into a dual\u2010band bandpass filter with arbitrary dual pass bands, well\u2010defined in\u2010band attenuation ripples, and high out\u2010of\u2010band rejection. The physical insight into such a dual\u2010band bandpass filter is provided with a dispersion analysis.
