A complementary low\u2010complexity decoding algorithm\nbased on maximum ratio combining and successive interference\ncancelation is further proposed. A major merit of the decoding\nalgorithm is that it allows to adaptively tradeoff between\ndiversity and multiplexing gains based on the estimated channel\nparameters at the receiver without requiring any channel state\ninformation at the transmitter.
