Based on measures of scalp field differences including all sensors, and using powerful, assumption-free randomization statistics, the program yields robust, physiologically meaningful conclusions based on the entire, untransformed, and unbiased set of measurements. Ragu accommodates up to two within-subject factors and one between-subject factor with multiple levels each. Significance is computed as function of time and can be controlled for type II errors with overall analyses. Results are displayed in an intuitive visual interface that allows further exploration of the findings. A sample analysis of an ERP experiment illustrates the different possibilities offered by Ragu. The aim of Ragu is to maximize statistical power while minimizing the need for a-priori choices of models and parameters (like inverse models or sensors of interest) that interact with and bias statistics.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1155\/2011\/938925","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2011,2,20]],"date-time":"2011-02-20T14:33:23Z","timestamp":1298212403000},"page":"1-14","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":316,"title":["Ragu: A Free Tool for the Analysis of EEG and MEG Event-Related Scalp Field Data Using Global Randomization Statistics"],"prefix":"10.1155","volume":"2011","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-1472-4638","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Thomas","family":"Koenig","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychiatric Neurophysiology, University Hospital of Psychiatry Bern, University of Bern, 3000 Bern 60, Bolligenstr. 111, Switzerland"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Mara","family":"Kottlow","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychiatric Neurophysiology, University Hospital of Psychiatry Bern, University of Bern, 3000 Bern 60, Bolligenstr. 111, Switzerland"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Maria","family":"Stein","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Psychiatric Neurophysiology, University Hospital of Psychiatry Bern, University of Bern, 3000 Bern 60, Bolligenstr. 111, Switzerland"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Lester","family":"Melie-Garc\u00eda","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Neuroinformatics Department, Cuban Neuroscience Center, Havana 15202, Cuba"}],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"311","reference":[{"issue":"3","key":"9","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"245","DOI":"10.1109\/10.748978","volume":"46","year":"1999","journal-title":"IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering"},{"key":"3","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/s10548-010-0142-1"},{"key":"2","volume-title":"Statistical analysis of multichannel scalp field data","year":"2009"},{"key":"4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.clinph.2007.12.023"},{"key":"12","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/S0168-5597(98)00021-5"},{"key":"6","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0013-4694(80)90419-8"},{"issue":"3","key":"7","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"227","DOI":"10.1016\/0301-0082(84)90003-0","volume":"23","year":"1984","journal-title":"Progress in Neurobiology"},{"key":"8","year":"2007"},{"key":"10","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1002\/hbm.1058"},{"issue":"2","key":"1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"143","DOI":"10.1007\/BF01191080","volume":"6","year":"1993","journal-title":"Brain Topography"},{"key":"13","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/S0167-8760(99)00038-0"},{"key":"11","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/j.neuroimage.2006.07.008"},{"issue":"4427","key":"5","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"203","DOI":"10.1126\/science.7350657","volume":"207","year":"1980","journal-title":"Science"}],"container-title":["Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"http:\/\/downloads.hindawi.com\/journals\/cin\/2011\/938925.pdf","content-type":"application\/pdf","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"text-mining"},{"URL":"http:\/\/downloads.hindawi.com\/journals\/cin\/2011\/938925.xml","content-type":"application\/xml","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"text-mining"},{"URL":"http:\/\/downloads.hindawi.com\/journals\/cin\/2011\/938925.pdf","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2017,6,19]],"date-time":"2017-06-19T16:00:56Z","timestamp":1497888056000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"http:\/\/www.hindawi.com\/journals\/cin\/2011\/938925\/"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2011]]},"references-count":13,"alternative-id":["938925","938925"],"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1155\/2011\/938925","relation":{},"ISSN":["1687-5265","1687-5273"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1687-5265","type":"print"},{"value":"1687-5273","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2011]]}}}
