For the <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M2\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mi>P<\/mml:mi><mml:mn>1<\/mml:mn><\/mml:msub><mml:mtext>\u2013<\/mml:mtext><mml:msub><mml:mi>P<\/mml:mi><mml:mn>0<\/mml:mn><\/mml:msub><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:math>\n element, we obtain the optimal <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M3\"><mml:mrow><mml:msup><mml:mi>L<\/mml:mi><mml:mn>2<\/mml:mn><\/mml:msup><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:math> error estimates of the finite volume solution <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M4\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mi>u<\/mml:mi><mml:mi>h<\/mml:mi><\/mml:msub><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:math> and <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M5\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mi>p<\/mml:mi><mml:mi>h<\/mml:mi><\/mml:msub><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:math>. We also provide some numerical examples\nto confirm the efficiency of the FVM.
