The general governing partial differential equations are transformed into a set of two nonlinear ordinary differential equations using unique similarity transformation. Numerical solutions of the similarity equations are obtained using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg (RKF) method. Three different types of nanoparticles are considered, namely, Cu, Al<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>, and TiO<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>, by using water as a base fluid with Prandtl number<mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M1\"><mml:mtext>P<\/mml:mtext><mml:mtext>r<\/mml:mtext><mml:mo>=<\/mml:mo><mml:mn>6.2<\/mml:mn><\/mml:math>. The effects of the nanoparticle volume fraction<mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M2\"><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant=\"bold-italic\">\u03d5<\/mml:mi><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:math>and the constant exponent<jats:italic>m<\/jats:italic>on the flow and heat transfer characteristics are obtained and
