The incidence energy (<mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M2\"><mml:mi>I<\/mml:mi><mml:mi>E<\/mml:mi><\/mml:math>for short) of<mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M3\"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>G<\/mml:mi><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:math>is defined as the sum of the singular values of the incidence matrix. In this paper, a new upper bound for<mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M4\"><mml:mi>I<\/mml:mi><mml:mi>E<\/mml:mi><\/mml:math>of graphs in terms of the maximum degree is given.
