For exploring the spatiotemporal complexity of a predator\u2010prey system with migration and diffusion, a new three\u2010chain coupled map lattice model is developed in this research. Based on Turing instability analysis, pattern formation conditions for the predator\u2010prey system are derived. Via numerical simulation, rich Turing patterns are found with subtle self\u2010organized structures under diffusion\u2010driven and migration\u2010driven mechanisms. With the variation of migration rates, the predator\u2010prey system exhibits a gradual dynamical transition from diffusion\u2010driven patterns to migration\u2010driven patterns. Moreover, new results, the self\u2010organization of non\u2010Turing patterns, are also revealed. We find that even in the cases where the nonspatial predator\u2010prey system reaches collapse, the migration can still drive pattern self\u2010organization.
