A threshold value, <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M1\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant=\"script\">R<\/mml:mi><\/mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mn>0<\/mml:mn><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:msub><mml:mo>=<\/mml:mo><mml:mi mathvariant=\"normal\">m<\/mml:mi><mml:mi mathvariant=\"normal\">a<\/mml:mi><mml:mi mathvariant=\"normal\">x<\/mml:mi><mml:mfenced separators=\"\" open=\"{\" close=\"}\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant=\"script\">R<\/mml:mi><\/mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mi>K<\/mml:mi><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:msub><mml:mo>,<\/mml:mo><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant=\"script\">R<\/mml:mi><\/mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mi>V<\/mml:mi><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:msub><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:mfenced><\/mml:mrow><\/mml:math>, responsible for the persistence of crime\/criminality and victimisation, is obtained and, using it, stability analyses on the model performed. The impact of an effective implementation of the two forms of rehabilitation was found to be substantial on crime and criminality, while an ineffective implementation of same was observed to have a detrimental consequence. The prevention of repeat victimisation was seen to present a more viable option for containing crime than the noncriminalisation of victims. Further, the removal of criminals, either through quitting or death, among others, was also found to have a huge positive impact.
