We introduce two transformations, namely, linearizing and unbranching, on catacondensed pentagonal systems and show that BID indices are monotone with respect to these transformations. We derive a general expression for calculating the BID indices of any catacondensed pentagonal system with a given number of pentagons, angular pentagons, and branched pentagons. Finally, we characterize the CPSs for which BID indices assume extremal values and compute their BID indices.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1155\/2020\/4935760","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2020,8,20]],"date-time":"2020-08-20T23:32:20Z","timestamp":1597966340000},"page":"1-7","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":4,"title":["Bond Incident Degree Indices of Catacondensed Pentagonal Systems"],"prefix":"10.1155","volume":"2020","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-9615-3658","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Yongsheng","family":"Rao","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Computing Science and Technology, Guangzhou University, Guangzhou 510006, China"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-4523-8023","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Adnan","family":"Aslam","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Natural Sciences and Humanities, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan"}]},{"given":"Muhammad Unfowan","family":"Noor","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Knowledge Unit of Science, University of Management & Technology, Sialkot 51310, Pakistan"}]},{"given":"A.
