In this scheme, the chaotic sequence of a 3D Lorenz chaotic system is used as the row and column index of the DCT matrix and the phase factor of SLM to resist selective plaintext attack, and the system encryption is realized while reducing PAPR. The theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the common OFDM-PON, the proposed algorithm, can obtain a PAPR suppression gain of \u223c4.8\u2009dB and improve the receiver sensitivity by \u223c4\u2009dB <jats:inline-formula>\n                     <a:math xmlns:a=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M1\">\n                        <a:mfenced open=\"(\" close=\")\" separators=\"|\">\n                           <a:mrow>\n                              <a:mtext>BER<\/a:mtext>\n                              <a:mo>@<\/a:mo>\n                              <a:msup>\n                                 <a:mrow>\n                                    <a:mn>10<\/a:mn>\n                                 <\/a:mrow>\n                                 <a:mrow>\n                                    <a:mo>\u2212<\/a:mo>\n                                    <a:mn>3<\/a:mn>\n                                 <\/a:mrow>\n                              <\/a:msup>\n                           <\/a:mrow>\n                        <\/a:mfenced>\n                     <\/a:math>\n                  <\/jats:inline-formula>. In addition, it shows that, with the increase of row\/column index mismatch of the DCT matrix, the bit error rate of the system increases gradually.
