In this study, a linear sparse array antenna design problem is addressed and a new approach for density taper element spacing by using the spacing coefficient algorithm is proposed. This method is a mathematical approach to obtain the distance between array elements by developing a spacing coefficient <jats:inline-formula>\n                     <a:math xmlns:a=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" id=\"M1\">\n                        <a:msub>\n                           <a:mrow>\n                              <a:mi>d<\/a:mi>\n                           <\/a:mrow>\n                           <a:mrow>\n                              <a:mi>n<\/a:mi>\n                              <a:mtext>\u2009<\/a:mtext>\n                           <\/a:mrow>\n                        <\/a:msub>\n                     <\/a:math>\n                  <\/jats:inline-formula> for each element to achieve radiation performances with a minimum number of antenna elements.
