The\ndisplacement information is extracted from mammography projections\nbefore and after breast compression. Incorporating the\ndisplacement measurement, an elastography reconstruction algorithm\nis specifically developed to estimate the elastic moduli of\nheterogeneous breast tissues. Case studies with numerical breast\nphantoms are conducted to demonstrate the capability of the\nproposed elasto\u2010mammography. Effects of noise with measurement,\ngeometric mismatch, and elastic contrast ratio are evaluated in\nthe numerical simulations.
