As a result,\nsome ambiguities arise when we want to solve nonlinear partial\ndifferential equations such as differential equations of\nelasticity and multifluid flows, or some new cosmological models\nsuch as signature changing space\u2010times. Colombeau\u2032s new theory of\ngeneralized functions can be used to remove these ambiguities. In\nthis paper, we first consider a simplified model of elasticity and\nmultifluid flows in the framework of Colombeau\u2032s theory and show\nhow one can handle such problems, investigate their jump conditions, and resolve their ambiguities.
